Equipment is any weapon or wearable item in Bloodborne.
Description
Equipment includes Attire and Weapons. Equipment can be dropped by bosses, found as loot on corpses or in chests, or bought from the Messengers in the Hunter's Dream.
Attire
- See also: Attire.
Weapons
- See also: Weapons.
Weapons are used to deal damage to enemies. There are two types of weapons; Right Hand Weapons (also known as "Trick Weapons") and Left Hand Weapons.
Right Hand Weapons
Right Hand Weapons are able to transform instantly (often employed in beast hunting), giving the player another set of attacks. When transformed, some weapons require both hands to be used.
Left Hand Weapons
Left Hand Weapons mainly consist of Firearms, and are used primarily to stagger opponents (versus being used for damage output). Staggering allows for special critical attacks, known as a Visceral Attack.
Notes
- Although not technically equipment, most consumables can be equipped to quick slots. Consumables are generally used to assist the Hunter in battle. These items include Blood Vials and other offensive items, such as Molotov Cocktails.
