The Blood of a Great One is the third chapter of my twelfth fanfiction, "The God King". This chapter is very good, and has a twist at the end. Our two heroes also encounter Mallakarth for the first time in this chapter.

I picture Mallakarth's voice sounding like Miraak's.

The Blood of a Great One[]

Upon leaving the Abandoned Old Workshop, Maria and I began our hunt for Mallakarth. We didn't know where he would be, but we would find him. If my theory is correct, Mallakarth's own blood should enhance my sword with the power to strike him down. When I told Maria this, she thought I was crazy, which I am. She was hoping that I was wrong, but I know I'm right. We will kill him.

Maria made me go to the Forbidden Woods with her, probably because that is where I died. I was frantically looking around for any signs of a dragon, but saw nothing. Maria told me to calm down, but I didn't listen. I was certain that a giant black dragon to appear out of nowhere and knock down all of the trees. How right I turned out to be!

Suddenly, we heard a loud roar, followed by Mallakarth dropping in right in front of us. My first thought was "He's smaller than I expected". Surprisingly, he didn't immediately attack us. Instead, he spoke. His voice sounded very calm, and was not as intimidating as his appearance.

Mallakarth: Do you know who I am?

Altair: Yes.

Mallakarth: Then you know why I'm here.

Altair: You're here to kill me.

Mallakarth: That is incorrect. I'm just here to speak to you.

I took out my sword.

Altair: Speak to my sword. She is more reasonable than I am!

Maria rolled her eyes at me.

Altair: What? You call a sword a she. That's like the rule.

Mallakarth did a fake cough.

Mallakarth: I'm not what you think I am. I have no interest in harming you. Leave while you can.

Altair: Never!

I got ready to fight the dragon, and Maria did the same. Mallakarth flew upwards, and did a dive bomb at us while breathing fire. It was very inaccurate. He hovered above us, and then charged. I stabbed him in the foot, injuring him. He crashed into the ground, and I went to finish him. He smacked me with his tail, throwing me back. My back was hit against a tree. Mallakarth then flew away. I glanced at my sword, and noticed something odd. Mallakarth's blood was yellow. He wasn't a Great One. He was something else. I didn't have time to think more before blacking out.
